Act 5 Scene 1

One night at the kings place in Dunsinane a doctor and a gentlewoman are talking about Lady Macbeth’s strange sleepwalking then Lady Macbeth appears on scene carrying a candle moaning about the murders of Lady Macduff and Banquo she is pretending  washing her hands and the gentle woman says it is not unusual for her to wash them for half an hour. she sees blood on her hands and says how will it ever wash off. she leaves and the two women talk about how she is becoming mad and how they have heard things they should not have. Wash your hands. Put on your nightgown. Don’t look so frightened. “I tell you again, Banquo is buried. He cannot come out of his grave.”
